Meet the legal team behind Landlord First.

Before joining Landlord First LLP, Merve worked in the legal departments of both an international housing provider and smaller property management and housing companies. Her practice focused primarily on residential tenancy matters before the Landlord and Tenant Board, giving her extensive experience managing LTB files and working closely with landlords and property managers.

Merve also assists clients with enforcing judgments through the Small Claims Court, including garnishment proceedings, writs of seizure and sale, debtor examinations, and other available enforcement remedies.

Merve is currently pursuing a law degree while continuing to practise as a licensed paralegal.

Ashleigh assists clients with proceedings before Ontario's Landlord and Tenant Board, including matters involving rent arrears, breaches of tenancy obligations, and other issues arising under the Residential Tenancies Act. She understands the importance of careful preparation, clear documentation, and practical strategies that reflect both the legal issues and the day-to-day realities of property management.

Having worked closely with landlords and property management professionals throughout her career, Ashleigh appreciates the need for timely, organized, and commercially sensible advice. She takes a client-focused approach, helping clients understand the process, evaluate their options, and work toward an effective resolution.

Ashleigh earned an Ontario College Diploma in Paralegal Studies from Seneca Polytechnic. She also holds an Alternative Dispute Resolution Certificate, is licensed by the Law Society of Ontario, and is a Notary Public. Her legal knowledge and industry experience allow her to provide focused representation tailored to the needs of landlords, housing providers, and property management firms.
